Trim router price drop, new one to come?

I was told a festool guy that something significant was being released this fall. He said it would impact everyone. He also told use about the edge bander, which is only for the pros ($2500?). So since I see the trim router has a new lower price, does this signify a new mini router. I have been wanting a nice trim router for awhile. I've looked at the yellow one, Pc, and colt. But I just can't come to owning one. I'd love to see a nice trim router with more options than the 700 offers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Festool make a trim router as well.  I sold my 700 and bought the little Dewalt.  It's a great little tool for mortising, etc. and the LED lights make me wish my 1010, 1400, and 2200 had them.

On the festool UK site the 700 is listed as a new tool but I think it just has a new trimmer base.

I have the DeWalt that came as a kit with the plunge base included.  The light is most useful when routing hinge mortises.

I have the same kit.  The lights are very useful whenever you are freehand routing a mortise or inlay.

Looks like I just got my hopes up. I have the 1400 and it is just to big sometimes. I knew they dropped the triton price before the carvex release, so I thought maybe it could be happening. Thanks.
