Trion 300 blade movement

Good morning all, just purchased a new barrel grip Trion and noticed that the blade is pitched forward at rest but can be pushed back manually to plumb position. Is this movement normal ? My Bosch 1590 has absolutely no play in blade/shaft. I plan on using it with a Collins coping foot as well as fine jigsaw work.

Don't know how much yours moves but blades on my trion does have a little play
Can you make a quick video?

In full eccentric mode, "3", it should move forward by pushing on it but spring back to where it rests between the blade guides.

That's the best way to set the blade guides... First, pull the blade all the way out and put the eccentricity on "3". Then, push the blade forward and tighten the guides until they hold the blade forward. Lastly, loosen the blade guides slowly until the blade just pops back in between them. No finesse is needed with this approach.

Great tip  [not worthy]

I always seem to tighten mine up just a bit too snug and succeed in overheating them. This will work for both Trion & Carvex I assume.

Put a piece of paper between the blade and guides, I use this same technique when setting my bandsaw guides.

Thanks for the replies. Blade movement is not side to side but along the axis of the motor (font to back). Orbit (pendulum) is set on "0". The end of the blade is forward of the shaft but can be pushed back manually to vertical with shaft. Seems to work fine but only have my Bosch to compare it to.
