It seems Festool has changed up their website. Not sure when but it is changed and not for the better, as of today.

I cannot sign into my account to register my tools and see my tools/warranty information.

Most of the Google links are broken that direct to a Festool website section.

I hope this gets fixed quick.

Also, the dealer lookup for areas and the map used are terrible.

Welcome to the FOG [member=62240]The.Handyman[/member]

You need to identify the country you live in. I suspect you might be in the UK as their site was rescently redesigned. Australia by some reports will be soon. By identifying which country's site you are trying to access, others can assist you.

Edit: I see that the USA site has now changed also.  I have identified and linked both the US and UK FOG Festool reps in this reply. Hopefully they will reply.

I've been on the FOG for a while now. I mostly do my research here as I don't have a whole lot of 'new' to add.

I am in the USA.

Edit. Looking at both the UK and the USA sites, the UK site has a very obvious MyFestool link button on the home page. The USA site does not, and use of the Search feature appears to fail in finding MyFestool.

Will this link help you?

Sorry for the membership confusion. I have cataracts as a result of Retina Detachment Surgey in both eyes late last year and misread 47 for 1 before I enlarged the text on the IPad. Cataract surgery next month.

I'm in the USA, and my link to ekat blew up last week.  Finally got back on, but it was with a different and strange URL.

FestoolUSA.com and FestoolCanada.com were relaunched yesterday. In fact, all of Festool's websites worldwide have been relaunched over the last two months.

Most links (from Google or elsewhere) should redirect to the new site, but they won't necessarily go to the same specific product pages. Because the site is (as I write this) less than 24 hours old, there will be some issues for a few days or so.

Tools can still be registered (https://www.festoolusa.com/service/service-all-inclusive/registration ), but the MyFestool section won't be available until the end of summer. Honestly, the old was never as useful as we'd like, and the new one should be an improvement.

Here's a quick tip with the new site:
If you want to quickly access a product page, put festoolusa.com/@ followed by the product number. For example, to find the HK 55 on the US page, go to festoolusa.com/@561756

This works on all other Festool sites as well (festoolcanada.com, festool.uk.co, festool.de, etc.).

Starting yesterday, you can now access the EKAT with the simple link: festoolusa.com/ekat

On the old site, you could only search by zip code, and top results were listed with no context.

On the new site, you can search by zip code, city, state or dealer name. The results are now shown on a map so that you can see where each of them is in relation to you. I can see why you're disappointed in this obvious downgrade.

Whenever there is change there's new learning.  The new website may perform better, but users need to take time to learn a new system, layout, etc. and there's bound to be frustrations with that process.  That said, the only abrasives I could pull up for my ETS EC 150/5 were a bunch of Titan and only 2 Granat products.  I tried three times.  It's possible that the Festool website still needs some work.  The old abrasives selector was very straightforward.

A lot of the product details -- specifically product photos and accessories/consumables -- are still being added. Those will get better in upcoming weeks.

Here are some things to know about the new website:

Quickly find product pages
To quickly go to a specific product page, simply add /@ followed by the product number. For example, to find the HK 55 on the US page, go to festoolusa.com/@561756

Festool TV
The new website has a cool new video page. We're able to structure and organize the videos better hear than we can on YouTube.
https://www.festoolusa.com/knowledge/festool-tv
https://www.festoolcanada.com/knowledge/festool-tv

Spanish-language website
On the US site, click “Español” on the top right of the screen to visit the Spanish-language version of the website. It isn’t 100% Spanish yet, but the main pages and product pages are. We will be adding more Spanish content over the new weeks and months.
https://www.festoolusa.com/es-US

Downloads Section
This is a simple place for people to find the catalog, product sheets, manuals and other downloads. It's fairly sparse now, but we’ll be adding more content in upcoming weeks.
festoolusa.com/knowledge/downloads
festoolcanada.com/knowledge/downloads

Updated Dealer locator
The dealer locator is more user-friendly and a cooler experience. You can search by city, state, zip code or dealer name. In the next few weeks, we’ll be improving the way that dealer information is displayed.
festoolusa.com/dealer
festoolcanada.com/dealer

Quicklink to the EKAT spare part catalog
You can now quickly access the spare part catalog by visiting the following URLs:
festoolusa.com/ekat
festoolcanada.com/ekat

Mobile friendliness
The majority of traffic to festoolusa.com comes from a mobile or tablet device! The new site is built responsively to work on any device.

The "Operating Instructions" link in the Downloads section takes me to the ekat interface.  Not exactly what I was trying to find.

At least the 2017 catalog download works.

Yeah, I was interested to see the feedback on that. I like the idea of having all manuals on the EKAT, but it's more convenient to have PDFs directly on the downloads page. We'll be adding some this week.

In all fairness, I got to the ekat page and stopped because it was not the list of .pdf files that I expected to see.

I do not consider a manual as a component/part of a tool, so I would not think to look in the ekat to find it.  However, a link in the ekat titled "Manuals", "Instructions", or similar would be quite obvious.

Several manuals have just been added to the Downloads page. Several more (including supplemental manuals) are going up soon.https://www.festoolusa.com/knowledge/downloads

It won't be until late summer. I'm going to regret saying this publicly (  :) ), but reach out to me if you need us to look up an old registration.

Tyler, please link the relevant downloads to the product page in question. The german site does this, but they don't have the additional manuals (they should really pay a translator, as these are way more useful than the original manuals).

Regarding the technical difficulties:

You should have kept the old version online till then.

Most links (from Google or elsewhere) should redirect to the new site, but they won't necessarily go to the same specific product pages.

You just broke existing links into the site by not setting up redirects (HTTP 301, it exists for a reason) from the old URLs to the new locations? Sure, google and other crawlers will reindex, but links from forums, blogs, howtos, (whatelse) will not magically fix themselves - nothing is more annoying then to end up at a 404 when following links.

Please fix this asap by adding redirects from the old URLs to the new, correct locations.

Just a FYI, the new site is partly broken on ipad, chrome and safari.

Thanks for reaching out.

Pictures appears to load at first but then a split second later they're all gone. The text seems there though I've not compared with chrome or safari on a pc.

The fun of having to support multiple platforms etc.

That happened with me also initially until I had to accept cookies a couple of times.  I would suggest that someone proofread the spare parts and service area because it has references to the Uk.

Peter
