hi

i am going to get the Mafell KSS400 with the flexistem track
just want to confirm if the ts 55 or the ts 75 will work with it ,
or if fastool going the come up with something like it in the near future.

thanks in advance

I doubt it.  Don't count that as an official Festool answer, but you are changing manufacturers and platforms here.

Peter

thank you
i thoug ill just ask since i am getting the kss400 and thinking of getting the ts 75
its would be nice to have it  [sad]

You can run a Marvell MT55 on Festool tracks, but not a TS55 on Bosch/Mafell tracks.

I like my MT55. It is a nice saw.
I think it is only the MT55 that fits on the Fastool track system... So the other saws require a Mafell/Bosch track.
And also unsure about the flexitrak and whether that saw fits on the standard Bosch track.

Thanks for your question. We can't comment on or make recommendations about other manufacturers' tools. Other folks on the FOG might have some experiences with this that will be helpful.

thanks to everyone for the input.
finally i got the kss 400 i know its a bummer to drop another $450 $500 for a track system
it is what it is , as i  read more and more its sound like the mafell/bosch tracks are the most accurate

thank you all

I doubt they (Mafell/Bosch) are more accurate rails.
All extrusions use the same manufacturing methods.
They are however easier to attach to each other, and they are 1-mm lower.

Secondly the Bosch GKT 55 and Mafell mt55 both fit on Bosch/Mafell tracks. As well as their MKS 185 (145/165).

You may want to figure out whether the Kss400 fits on regular Bosch tracks. The MT55 is good. In 230v it was an easier decision than starting out in the US as the costs are closer overseas.
If a jigsaw is to also needing to fit on a track, then that is more decision space and the p1cc is a decent jigsaw. (It is a system, so it is Bosch & Mafell) [wink]

here in the us mafell are prices crazy ,
just dropped a $G for the kss400
and ordered yesterday the 110,160,connectors and clamps for another $450

the thing is there is only 1 dealer here in the us and canada (same guys) (timberwolf tools)

already have the carvex 420 and of1400 and i am not going to drop another $800 for the p1 cc
i guess ill to have to catch up slowly but surely and eventually get both track systems

That is what I did -- two track systems, but now I have the best of all worlds.

I played around with the HKC saw today at the Road Event and I have to say it is an impressive saw. I like the plunge mechanism and stop. Raising and lowering the blade to rough dimension is a little tricky/different than what I am used to with Mafell saws, but it worked. I think it will be a good saw and having three cross-cut tracks adds flexibility. All in all a good set-up and glad to see it making its way to NA in a few months.

In the US we have 220v/60-Hz Single phase, which is technically a push/pull.
In the EU and Au it is 230v/50-Hz.

The universal Cuprix motors mean that the saw will run on either with the right cord, or via a transformer like Timberwolves sells.

At that point it gets financially easy as the Eu gear is a better value. Most places ship world wide, which includes Australia and the USA.

------
Since you already have FT gear and probably tracks it is not as easy as when starting out fresh, and sticking with FT makes sense.

true that !!!
already got the kss400 and the tracks be here monday ,
i know that you can save few hundos by buying 230v , now i got to setup my regular tools then i got to setup
the step up transformer now nothing is integrated voltage wise ,
in the big pictures ill save maybe a G$ so for that i rather go with 120v and all i have to worry about is the power strip,
allready got in touch with couple of stores (dictum and bort&herkert  in germany ) as for accessories i can save a bundle when getting it from them and if ever i decide to go 230v or getting festool that not available in the us .

thank you all!!!!! for the great input and information
