I have heard of folks using the TS55 to straight edge veneers.
Can you enlighten me on which blade you are using ?

Thanks
Dave

the one that comes with the saw, and make sure it's sharp. you need a backer board and a guide rail...

The 48-tooth that came with the saw. I did up a couple of panels yesterday using it, actually.

I did the walnut burl veneers for one of the doors shown on our website, www.peercon.com.  Use the fine blade that came with the saw as was posted above, the straight edge of the length needed, and a sacrificial backer.  It did a good job as you may be able to tell from the picture of the door.  There was a tiny bit of tear out, though hardly noticeable, due to the wildly changing grain pattern of the burl.

I've posted a picture of the door that you can edit with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.  I'd suggest enlarging and brightening it so you can see the swirly grain patterns of the burl.  There is a joint in the middle of the panels where I bookmatched the veneers.
