Hi All,

Loving the Festools so much have had the chance to do a bunch of projects leading up to the kitchen Cabinet build I will start this week. We tore out a bearing wall to open the kitchen up. I had to make the opening left by the old header and bean to accommodate the new wider beam.

So I thought to my self my 2700 mm track has a hole at each end I wonder. Yep we lined everything up and screwed it to the ceiling. I set the depth of the saw to cut through 2 layers of sheetrock and cut a perfect line upside down while the wife was cooking in said kitchen.

Also built a 20 foot Temp wall using the might Kapex and the lack of saw dust was impressive. Granted the house is pretty trashed but the Festools did there part.

Tried to attach some photos we will see.

Anyway just another idea.

Phil

Nice work everything looks really good, but in response to picture #4 the dust collection only works when the hose is plugged into the saw  [tongue]

Yep that was the second it popped off. Other than that is was good. Nice catch I thought it was s different picture......

It hit a few. Sacrificial blade.  [blink] I have been using it for the demo on the job. Taking up an old engineered floor. Pretty hand to put the track down and set the depth to just go through the floor. Makes big pieces come up.

I have a new blade for cutting the cabinets and will send this off to get sharpened. If they can't sharpen it then $50.00 was well worth the work it did.

A little off topic but if you are doing work where you might be generating sparks it is a good idea to use the Spark Trap.  A spark ingested into a bag of dust with the air intake serving as a bellows can cause catastrophic damage.  There a couple of images here of a crispy CT.  Even if you don't use the spark trap at least be alert of the possibility and monitor the situation.

Important information, thanks….but where is the crispy CT? You know how folks just can keep from looking at a car wreck…same goes for a fire destroyed Festool!

I noticed they mention a brushless motor for some of the dust extractors.  I assume those are not available in the USA, like the CLEANTEX CT 48 LE EC.
