Did some price comparisons for the Mafell MT55 vs. Festool TS55 for the US market.  By figuring out the saw only price(subtracting Festools track).  Both come in Systainers and the MT55 can be sold without the rail but doesn't come with the extra blade and parallel guide.  The two Mafell dealers charge for shipping and is approximately $45.00.  Shipping needs to be considered since Festool products get free ground.

Festool TS55   $427.00  ($525-$98)

Mafell MT55    $770.00  ($725+$45)

Difference       $343.00

I know the UK prices are closer to the same so the decision is easier.  As for the US one must really consider the advantages to cost.  Hobbyists will easily gravitate to the Festool.  Those making a living with there tools like myself will have to consider durability, versatility, and cost.  

I think Mafell would have a strong market by keeping the saw "difference" closer to $200.  That could easily be done by adding a guide rail.  The shipping charge is exuberant in my opinion since ground is typically free if over a certain purchase price.

the mafell is looking really great. if anythung happens my ts55 il get a mafell. especially diven that i can use my festool rails . also that role up rail looks real handy
