Usually what I want to post is either wrong or obvious.  My client base lately has been high on pine as material of choice. I have noticed that the dust collection on all the power tools has had a hard time keeping up.  I am working on a 12 ft live slab scotch pine top and using my TS75 for various cuts and today after cleaning up one end when I set the saw down, not waiting for the blade to stop it cut a sizable gouge in the top. I am aware of the mistake and had gotten a little froggy as things were really going well and feeling like I am good....  Anyway the gouge was on the bottom I had to take the cover off to clean out a big wad of pitchy sawdust that kept the blade from retracting all the way.  As Michael Conrad used to say "Be careful out there "

I had the same problem today.  Luckily, it was only my mft/3 that received the gouge.  I figured the saw needs cleaning.  What did you have to remove to clean the sawdust out?  I started to take the outer blade cover off, but thought I'd see if anybody else had run into the same issue?  I didn't want to just start taking parts off willy nilly, since I can't find a schematic in the manual or online.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

Yes, if you take the outer cover off you can easily clean any stuck chips out. Place the saw on its side (cover facing up)  when you remove the cover and nothing should fall out.

For schematic  ...... in the bar at the top of the FOG screens , go to the Festool Websites tab, click the Spare Parts Catalog in the drop down.  That will take you to the parts catalog with schematics. You need Java on your computer to be able to view it.
