I know over time, there have been people who say the panther blade is not worth it. I say they are wrong. Dead wrong!

I just ripped about 45’ of hard maple for some face frames and here was the worst kerf lines I saw. Probably because I had to stop moving the board for a second or two.

It does help that I am doing this in my CMS...

And as a PSA, definitely don’t forget to check your hose connection!

Project details coming soon!

A side question... Is putting a track saw into this CMS the way we do tablesaw operations in Festool land ?  I am new to FT and had not seen any table saw options.  Can I do this with a TS 55 as well as the 75 ?

Yes, but availability is scarce, even in Europe since Festool discontinued the entire CMS system here last autumn.
There’s two modules for both plunge saws: CMS-TS 75 and CMS-TS 55R (“R” being the latest version)

For table saw options there are now 3 in Europe. All three comes in a bare saw version and “set” version with all the bells and whistles.

See here: (For some reason Festool is naming CS 50 and CS 70 Precisio saws as “Trimming saws”
And the new TKS 80 as “Table saw” (Precisio saws, CS 50 and 70 are pull saws, as Mafell Erica)
First link Leads to the two Precisio saws (I have the CS 50 SET version)

It is not available to purchase in the US. It voids you’re warranty. It is not UL certified (not sure how aluminum can be UL) but it is one of the most useful things and is at the core of my setup.

Feel free to PM me if you want more details.

The cuts look great!

Newbie here but you guys suggested a panther blade for my TS75 on some 2-2.5” Walnut. Fantastic.

Thanks guys.  This TKS 80 looks very interesting but also most likely pretty expensive.  Still haven't found the expected price.

I have only one Panther blade (for the 55) and it’s horrible. Guess I should buy one for the 75 and hope it’s better. Have had good results with the Universal blade even in thick hardwood (the reason I haven’t bothered with another Panther yet).

I agree that the 55 blade is not as good. I also think my CMS setup helps a bit. Being more like a true table saw.

CMS can still be bought new. Use Festool EKAT. You have to assemble yourself though. I bought the PS module that way.
