Effective April 1, all TS 75's are being shipped with 75" rails as part of the "Scope of Delivery".

"This change was made to better accommodate crosscuts of up to 48?, by allowing the saw to be fully captured on the guide rail throughout the cut". Sounds good to me!

Well hey, maybe you know someone who works for Festool and can say, HEY, what about us???? ;) :D ;D 8)

Well, I'll join in on this!  I just purchased a TS75 the other week -- it came with the 55" rail, which I do not need as I already have two others that size.  A follow up (pre-increase) order (soon to arrive) includes a 75" rail to go with that new larger saw.  Hmmm.  And now they are including the 75" rail with the TS75?  Guess I was just a tad late...

I would be happy to "trade-in" one of my 55" rails for the 75"!  ;D ;)

The TS 75 is more money now, at least with this price increase they give more for the money.

I would think that the 75" rail is a good size for Baltic Birch ply.  Maybe they can send all of us TS75 owners a 20" extension rail. That would be a real 'nice' gesture, wouldn't it?

I agree. I just bought mine at last month.

Since they do recommend the 75" (1900) guide for crosscutting with the TS75, it does seem that's the one that should have come with it all along. However, if manufacturers become obligated to "upgrade" all previous buyers every time they make changes to their product line, the extra cost would certainly encourage them to make changes far less often.

Fortunately for me, when I bought my TS75 last November I was given the option of upgrading to a longer guide, with full credit being given for the 55" (1400) that came with it, and I took advantage of it.

That was my first Festool purchase, and thanks in part to some pre-purchase research on this forum, I was able to make a good decision.

That option was never given to me.

Is there time to return it?

I didn't think of that. My new saw is less than 30 days old, can I send it back and get a new one with the 75" rail, still keeping the original price?

Why not I love cake and eating it too!

I did find someone who ordered  before the deadline and DID receive the 75. Another got to upgrade for free simply because the person they purchased from knew about it and offered it up. I guess they were lucky. I would gladly have waited myself. Its' not a great big deal. But I did spend  a great deal of money on new Festools in two weeks so I don't think you can blame guy for asking let alone wondering about it.

He didn't say it was free.

I think you misunderstand, the persons I am talking about are both local. It never occurred to me to ask them about their rails as I did not realize about the 75" until Bob posted it and I saw this thread.

This is what I was referring to, from joraft's post;

"Fortunately for me, when I bought my TS75 last November I was given the option of upgrading to a longer guide, with full credit being given for the 55" (1400) that came with it, and I took advantage of it."

Yes, that is a different situation. I do not think any dealers knew about this 75" upgrade until very recently. Rockler does not even know about it right now. At least the person I spoke to a few days ago at the store. I also know one person who like me and a few of the neighbors joined in on the Festool bandwagon and purchased 2 days ago and only got the 55" fence. He definitely should receive the longer fence, he paid the current price. I am driving over with him to Woodcraft, I am sure they will replace it for him. If they even know about it yet!

Have a great day!
