TS55 blade alignment problem cause saw to stop/start

Has anyone had this issue: During cut the saw stops/starts? I sent my lightly used 3 month old TS55 in for warranty repair and was told the problem was a blade alignment issue causing the overload protection to engage. Seems kind of bogus, curious what others think?

TS55 problems

The edge of the cut piece is really ragged. Could be an alignment issue.

Noticed the same thing. However... those are some uber-thin cuts which wouldn't produce a lot of drag IMO even if there was a blade alignment issue. But, I trust the guys at Festool service to accurately troubleshoot it.

I realise that this does not help...
(Other than you need to get that fixed under warranty)

This demo is not mine, but like a martian I sport a green hose as well.
I can do 40-mm rips with the dull OEM blade and sometimes it seems like it is not overly happy. If it was struggling I would change the blade out, but I do rips-n-crosscuts and CBA to change the blade every cut.

Rips with the corded and cordless TS 55. This is how the saw should perform, all done with the 48 tooth blade.

Make sure the blade is clean, MDF can gum it up pretty quickly.

Is it just me or do half of Holmz's post make little sense (and with a very heavy Mafell bias). [blink]  Remember band width is not free, try to keep it to posts that are on topic, or at least we can follow.

I could hae shown any saw Craftsman, Skil... Or any plunge saw from deWalt, Makita, Bosch, or most any festool.

There is clearly something wrong with it, and any can can break and need repair.

But I admit that I do like my saw...

It does not make much difference what's wrong with it, the outcome will be a repaired saw, and you will be good to go.

Thank you for all the input. In the video those were the factory edges. The saw was  cutting very smoothly. It's been repaired so I'll be trying it out Sat.
