Weird day — LR 32 Alignment and TS55 Struggling

I have a large linen closet project which requires five units for adjustable shelves. I made the boxes for these adjustable shelf units 2016 mm by 500mm.  I picked 2016 hoping that with a balanced panel I could reference from either side to save time and because this size was nearly the prefect size for the space.  I took the LR32 completely off my router after I finished the project was working on last time when I had LR32 issues I mentioned when starting this thread. 

Today I reconnected the LR32 plate to my OF1400 and used the centering mandrel to make sure it was adjusted properly.  And it WORKED!!  Completely aligned when referencing from both ends of the panel.  No idea what was wrong last time.  I think I did everything exactly the same but this time there is no error at all.  Wish I could have figured it out last time but glad it is working again.  Really much faster with a balance panel. 

Also since I have a lot of shelf ping holes to bore, I added a small amount of paste wax to the rail and the bottom of the LR32 router plate.  Then I used a little oil on the mechanism that raises the pin which references the 32mm increments.  Incredible how much easier it is to use after a little paste wax and oil.

Bad plug-it cord & socket…now that makes perfect sense. Good to know & thanks for posting that info.

Did you check the LR 32 calibration?

[member=10147]jobsworth[/member] sorry I forgot to reply.  I never got it figured out so I referenced from the same side of the panel and it worked fine.  The panel might have been very slightly out of square.  I am heeding your advice and making sure the next panels are perfectly square before drilling the holes.

Also, I sent in my TS55. The culprit was the connector where the plug it cord attaches.  Only cost about $75 to fix and ship back to me.  Took 8 business days total which I think is great.  Service told me to ditch the plug it cord I had been using to avoid tool damage which I did.  I have plenty of cords.  I only use one cord for all tools.  I leave it connected to the Work Center which rides on top of my CT.

I do the same thing, minus the work center. I keep two cables out and ready for use. One on the CT and the other hangs on the side of the big tool cabinet, since I do occasionally go without the CT. (PS 420, etc)
I did just add a 30" extension to my assembly table, thinking of putting a CT15 under it on that opposite end.

I went cordless and just bought the TS cordless 55 with the thin blade. I dont use the CT now or cord with the TS55 I use the bag instead. It does a good job ad I dont have to fool with the cable and hose. If you still are using a cable besure to use the black attachment that you attach to the end of the guide rail.  The new design seems like it would work alot better than the old design, I have.
