I ran the TS55 through several feet of 3/4" birch ply yesterday, plugged directly into the CT36 and received plenty of shocks.  I've ready plenty here today that my home's wiring may be to blame and I will look into that, but what are the other possibilities for this?  I was shocked between the handle & blade housing, when touching the guide rail, and when touching the hose.  The cuts were made on both the MFT and saw horses.

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your issue with shocks.

Grounding is pretty much the only variable that would cause an issue that I can think of. The saw and dust extractor must have a proper ground to dissipate any static charge.

Unless you live in an old house that doesn't have a grounded electrical system then it's highly unlikely that it's your house wiring.  As much as Festool implies that the anti-static system will prevent static it simply can't do that under all circumstances.  I called service and they said that some material produces more static then others and that static can't be completely eliminated.

It's much more likely that the static is from the material you're cutting and/or a lack of humidity in the air.

I'm a licensed electrician and I installed a new electrical service to my house with 2 grounding rods.  I've got a new sub-panel in my shop and all new wiring in my shop except for 1 circuit.  I've got a new CT48, new TS55 and a new 36mm anti-static hose.  I still get zapped and some of them are fairly strong zaps.  Most of the time I get zapped by the hose but sometimes it's the saw that gets me.
