TS55 depth scale

OK, mine is the same but what bugs me is the manual saying you can insert a grub screw for fine adjustment !!  Why have they not fitted one in the first place & why only .1mm & not .5mm like what everyone needs.

I seem to remember Peter mentioning something about doing new stickers that took into account the thickness of the rail  [popcorn]

Can't you just move your head to the left or the right until it lines up?

I usually put the saw on the rail on top of the workpiece and plunge adjacent to the work edge (without starting saw), then slide the stop to match. Why waste time trying to measure?*

*I'm pretty sure my scale is 2 or 3 mm off and I've never bothered trying to adjust, that would throw me off!

Mine is off as well and I find it very annoying because I have my splinterguards marked with some standard depths that I cut.  So one of them is marked 27.5 because it lands half way between the 27 and 28.  Would just be nicer if they lined up perfectly, save me some ink.

My scale is also off but I use the fine adjustment screw so that it shows 25 (or 25.5) if I want to cut 15. I have it set including additional mm for the guide rail so I don't have to take that in account when setting the depth of cut, just add 10 mm to the depth you want and make the cut.

i put my saw on the rail and plunged it down beside the piece i cut usually (18mm, 12mm, 6mm,25mm,16mm) i allow a bit under and i marked the grey bit beside the scale with a perminent marker(fine tip) the common locations. now i can easily swap from one thickness to another without thinking [scared] (about that any way)
