So, I've had an OF1400 (plus the table and the guide-rail) for a while and I've now managed to get SWMBO to let me have a TS55, so I can start making some more things. She even picked it up for me on Tuesday :)

Today, I finally put together a temporary ghetto MFT with some scraps to at least get me going with some 90 degree crosscuts and I have to say I'm totally bowled over with this thing. Cut quality and accuracy is amazing and dust collection with a CT-26 is excellent.

First project is turning a bunch of Ikea "Sultan Lade" bed slats into something like this:http://www.gardenchic.co.uk/forest-garden-cascade-planter-p380 for a Christmas present.
So far, I've crosscut all of the 1-ft end pieces I need, which doesn't sound like much but it's probably the most satisfying work I've ever done - the cut surfaces are the best I've ever seen and it's like cutting through butter.

Mark, I remember using mine for the first time. Like you I was totally blown away. The quality of the cut was amazing. Enjoy.
