I learned something just now. Whenever i adjusted the blade angle, i just worked at making cuts and checking by the method i described above. I tried a couple of times by extending the blade, locking in place and checking with a small square. With so little blade showing that way, I found it was quicker going the cut and check/flip method. I never thought about taking the cover off of the saw to square the blade.
