Hi,

Is there any way of stopping the hose connector of the TS55 spinning? I would like it fixed so that its always pointing up to stop it catching on the back of the rail.

I think I remember someone on here mentioning there was a way of doing this but they didn't actually say what it was.

Thanks guys

Try gaffa tape !

Many of us have found that the hose of Festool TSxx saws is easier to control when the hose connection can swivel freely.

The 36mm AS hose tends to snag far less than the smaller 27mm hose.

Also, it helps to control the hose and power cord to loop those over your shoulder so that as you lean or walk with the saw the hose/cord follows from the same direction.

But if you want to prevent the connector swiveling as freely, follow the good advice of Tom Bellemare. He is a man who knows Festools!

The hose connector on my TS55 was fairly tight, so you could angle it however you wanted & it would pretty much stay where you put it. On the new TS55R howver, it is loose. Too loose. It's very annoying in fact, as you'll probably find out in a few weeks...

Actually, an o-ring is probably overkill. Anything added to the groove will stabilize the fitting, even a piece of rubber band.

I put a single wrap of "electrical" tape around the fitting inside the  cover. Can't even see it when the cover is back on.
