The plunge hinge on my new TS55 has excessive amount of play as shown on the picture. The bushings/axle is over/under-sized. Has anyone experienced this? Amplified by the plunge arm this allows the motor assembly to wobble sideways 0.5 - 1 mm relative to the base. At first, I wanted to take it apart, but will probably send it in. Thoughts?

The axle is pressed into the yoke and appears to be solid. It can only be pushed out from the blade side towards motor side. This would require removal of motor housing as saw handle is blocking the exit. Has anyone done this disassembly?

Don't mess with it.

In case it's bought within the last 15/30 (depending on country) days: just show up where you got it, return it for a no questions asked full refund (you could explain the problem to him though so it isn't sold to the next but returned to factory) and directly get a brand new one (that you check on site for the problem not existing on that one).

Should it be older: You have Service all included, call Festool and arrange pickup for free service.
