Just got a new ts55 req and on my old rails the strip was cut really close about 1mm off the rail. The new saw is about 3mm off the rail so 2mm off my strip. I know how to adjust it but noticed some one said they've restricted the adjustment on the newer ones.

anyone know if it will adjust that close or will I be better changing the strip on my 2x1400 , 800 and 2700.?

I think I know what you're asking, but I didn't even know you could adjust how close the blade gets to the rail edge.  My old ATF55 also cut 1mm off the rail edge, however my REQ cuts just as close.  If there's an adjustment for that, I'd like to know where it is, as I'd like a little more wiggle room than 1mm.

If the saw is cutting properly in regards to the blade setting, toe in etc., I would leave it alone and just move the anti-splinter strip over.

Yeah it's factory set. My thoughts were that if I adjust it and it doesn't work then its gonna be a right pain to set up again.
