Hi im new here and ordered my 1st track saw on friday. Its due to arrive monday and im already planning all the stuff im going to make. Ive been browsing everybodys work for the last couple of hours and there are some quality joiners on here. Ive been taking in some good ideas, really dont think im going to have much of a social life when this bad boy arrives.

Well done I am in the same boat credit card just got a hiding [crying] but can wait all I have used so far is the ro90 and the midi and if everything else is like them two I might have to cut up the card [big grin]
Yeah im feeling same. Ive been waiting for the right job to come along so i could convince are lass it was needed. I 1st used the track saw about 5 years ago and i always said i was gonna get one. Ive used the bosch and makita equivelant since then and they just didnt feel the same lol

Be sure to fettle your saw and track before you "plunge" in and start having fun. Thank goodness my local Festool guru* told me about the various steps, which include (1) snugging the gibs on the track, so that you have no play and free movement; (2) making a shallow, full length sacrifice cut to zero the clear zero-clearance splinter guard; and (3) making a sacrifice cut into the off-side splinter guard. All this is covered in the excellent supplemental manual. I may have left out something, so I urge you to read the manual on line while you're waiting for the delivery.
He also warned me that if the saw sounds as if the transmission has rocks in it, that's the way it is supposed to sound. Don't be alarmed.
