TS75 in CMS : flimsy Festool trigger lock fails....

Hello

I have a year old TS75 in a CMS table - it's brilliant, apart from the flimsy C shaped trigger lock (the original Festool part) which flexes under load, and thus doesn't always hold the trigger depressed - meaning the saw fails to start when requested.

I saw another thread where a user had made his own, more robust (wooden) replacement trigger lock. Has anyone else done this - or found another solution?

I made my own. Not because the plastic one was flimsy but because I wanted to save it as they are unavailable here in the NA (that I know of).

Its simple really, I use the scroll saw module for the CMS to cut it out.

Its no biggie, I used 1/4 ply. Ya know I might just make one out of 1/2 baltic birch ply. See how that works.

8) Yeah, the plastic one is very thin.

I used it as a template to scribe the contour on some scrap, rounded it over, drilled a hole and put some wire through it to fix it to the insert.

Same story for the "push stick".

If you're not up to making this yourself, you should maybe sell the CMS set...  [crying]
