TS75 noises in my head?

Hey fellow tool junkies. My first post but I have lurked for awhile. Never had aa question I couldn't search to find the answer. Now I do.

I have a recent addition to my tool list, a TS75. I'm excited to say the least my small shop will greatly appreciate the fact that I don't need to reorganize to cut down sheet goods. On top of that I can make my secondary saw into a full time dado saw which I have wanted for quite some time.

The issue.
Out of the box the fit and finish is festool quality. However when I start it up I have what can only be described as a bearing noise.  I have searched and haven't come up with a definite answer. Could this just be new motor break in? I doubt it. Electronics? I doubt that as well. The only chance I have is a video. So here it is.

--insert video here--

I have not cut anything with it. Just done what is in the video a few times. If this is normal cool. Just checking

Thank you for the time and effort in advance.

Were you holding the trigger fully engaged for the whole video or were you releasing it and then re-applying it a few times?

I let go in the beginning. Then held it and adjusted the speed dial. The noise was there again as I speed up the saw.

Cutting shall commence. Thanks fellas

That's normal, its the elctronics, I had the same question 1,5 year ago (you can find the link on this board) when I bought my first TS75.
I bought a new TS75 this month and it makes the same noise also.

Thanks for the video Rick. A must see for a newbie to the TS.

Serge, thank you for the reply. I had read that the noise was the electronics but I was not positive. The noise just sounds very bearing to me.

Can't wait to get her in the shop.

Welcome to the forum Northern Early lurker !  [smile]

Looks like the saw question is answered. As for the noises in your  head....  not sure we can help with that  [big grin]
