Tsc-55 panther blade

I had a project the other day that required a lot of ripping on 3/4” plywood . Went through a lot of batteries on the tsc saw.
Got me thinking about the ripping blade, is it that much better
I will probably get it anyway , but what the thinking out in Festool land. Worth it or not.

Not sure it would be that great for sheet goods. Better in solid wood. I find the 28 tooth is fine ripping plywood.

Make sure your current blade is clean.....mine is always dirtier than I think. I have a Panther I use for ripping hardwood it rips incredibly well. I see it as a specialized blade for ripping hardwood I recently saw a video from Colin Knect ?spelling ? WoodWorkWeb he demonstrates different woods including sheet goods and the different blades It was a concise clear demonstration the best I’ve seen.

I'm not sure about plywood, but my TS75 with the standard blade was bogging down straight line ripping 8/4 white oak.  With the ripping blade it made it right through no problems.

Thanks guys,
I keep forgetting about the clean blade thing. It may be gummed up.
Is acetone a good cleaner or what’s the preferred product?

Re cleaning- I keep a two gallon pail in my shop with a very strong solution of liquid laundry soap to water. A 20minute soak and a good scrub with plastic brush yields great results for me. Just make sure to rinse thoroughly and dry blade very well. Ymmv.

I've had great results with CMT blade cleaner.

I just use Windex...works just as well as blade cleaners. Simple Green works great too.

I use CMT or Simple Green. Don't forget to use a small brass brush, that will help remove the burned on resins from the sides of the teeth.
