So I just got a Tsc 55 ,and am curious about the clear "window" where the green splinter guard would go ?
Is it a clear splinter guard ?

Also ,while I'm at it , can the saw run on the 6.2as batteries , the book says 5.2 .?
I kinda know the answer but would like to hear it.
Btw I got the bare tool is why I'm asking .
Thanks in advance ,

One of the nice things about the TSC 55 is it’s ability to use various batteries because it uses 2 batteries. I’ve used the 18v 5.2, the 15v 4.2 and the 15v 3.0 all in various combinations. I plan on purchasing 2 of the new 18v Airstreams to lighten the load on my corded tools.

Note the on the batteries .................. the TSC55 won't run on a battery less than 3.0 ah.  I had been hoping to use the 1.5 from my drills but no luck.

Thanks for the replies, but one more question .
On my TS75 ,the anti kickback thing rides on the saw , is that the same on this one ?
Or does it stay in the box ?

The clear window is a dust shield, not a splinter guard. The green one is the splinter guard.

Don't recall a place on the saw for the anti-kickback device.

Too bad clear window does not act as splinter guard. On Mafell and Bosch it has dual function.

Thanks Tom , seems they could have made that clear thing do both jobs.
