Chalk this one up to user stupidity, or at least someone rushing to finish a project before Thanksgiving. [mad]
A piece broke off the right rear edge of the guide plate when the saw fell on the ground, taking with it part of the knob assembly that gives a snug fit on the rail. The saw seems otherwise ok, as the plate took the brunt of the fall.
Fortunately I'm only inconvenienced rather than out of commission, since I can work off the TS75.
I see the full guide plate comes as a separate unit on EKAT (no. 68: 500912), but is this something that can be swapped out by the user, or will it need a trip back to service to get mounted and calibrated?
