TSO MTR-18 or PTR-18 Triangle?

Hi.  I've wanted a Woodpecker 18" Precision Triangle for a long time.  At $189.99, it's pricey but I can deal with it.  However, it doesn't ship until January, 2018.  But I need it now.

Then I saw this TSO MTR-18 in a FOG Thread.  And TSO has a PTR-18 too.  Here is the MTR-18 on the TSO Website with a comparison of the PTR-18 and the sets.    A major advantage is that they are available now!

Has anyone tried out one or both of these?  How well do they work?  Would you buy again?  Which is the better option? Is the MTR-18 worth the extra bucks over the PTR-18?  Is the MTR-18 Set worth the extra money?

Thanks for any feedback.

Best regards,

Dan.

Dan,

I have been using the TSO square since it's first prototype last year. I test for TSO and have input on product development.

More advantages than they're available now. They work on the MFT if you have the set. There is another accessory in development for it.

The angles are nice for clamping up boxes.

My suggestion--get the MTR, you can add the set pieces latter if you decide you need them.

Tom,

Thanks. I ordered the MTR-18 last night.  It’s supposed to arrive this Saturday.

Dan.
