turn your mortiser machine in to a hinge bore

after seeing so many bad boring jigs i looked at my chisel mortiser and thought thats a hinge bore too

all you need is a jacobs chuck, a spindel ,a piece of p lam board,and two flag stops and a tape strip

this spindel was made from a 4" 3/8 16 thread retap to a 24 thread itsthat easy

dont forget a carbide 35mm cutter

how well does it cut?? this looks like something I would want to do...i have the same mortiser. thanks for posting.

with the cabide cutter its butter i have used blum machines that dont cut this easy and thru p lam liner very simple and when done change back
as fast as a bit change
