Here's a small, very simple, TV cabinet i did using full extension Blum Tip-on Runners.

Materials are: MDF, painted high gloss white. I used a roller to apply a few coats of high gloss paint, then sanded the inevitable bumps flat with a 400 grit brillant. This gave me a smooth matte finish which was then polished back to gloss with the RO 150 and some 3M "finesse-it".

Drawer sides and back are oak.

Really nice. I like the design.
Great photo/video. What camera/lens did you use here.

Very well done! I like simplicity!!!

A question for you...did you take any measures to prevent the middle from sagging? I only ask because I've seen similar situations that have. Just curious, and if so, what did you do?

Thanks for sharing!!!

Bob

I like very clean and great lines. Simple yet elegant.

Looks pretty darned good

@ dicktill: Primer and gloss coat are both waterborne finishes. Didn't have the granat at the time, it cloggs up less with these paints than brillant does.

@ Tim Raleigh: Camera for vid and pics is a Canon full frame (5d III) with a 17-40 zoom

@ builderbob: There is a support in the middle of the cabinet to prevent the drawer part from sagging. (see pic) The top is thick enough (so far) to carry the weight of the TV.

@ galwaydude18: The runners work well but they are a bit fiddly to adjust and mount.

@ sancho57: Thx  :)

Brushed on, rolled on, or sprayed?

Very nice.  I especially appreciate the effort to hide the drawer glides.

Very nicely done. Sure looks much sturdier than Ikea stuff. Way better built and much better drawer runners too.

Very clean - I like clean  [wink]

I can believe those drawer glides are an adjustment nightmare ... but hey, it paid off!

Looks nice. Are the
Drawers Mdf also?

And why Mdf ?  Why not birch ply?  For a small cab it really does not save much

Those drawer slides a great I use them all the time
Once you get the tricks down for install it makes them real easy

Thanks for sharing

Was this for you are a customer ?

Hey,

The drawer sides and back are oak, font is MDF.

Birch ply is not readily available over here. Is the ply surface as smooth as MDF?
Installing the slides is not that hard it just seems the fronts of the drawers need readjusting after install.

I made the cabinet for myself or rather a TV room where the kids hang out mostly.

John thanks. The birch cabinet ply is smooth. Probably aost as smooth

I understand about not being available where you are  that's fine
And yes the drawer slides are a pain that way
