I dont know that this issue has been covered much (saw something somewhere ) or resolved ,so sorry if Im behind on this one , but here are my findings on this.
I tried the UG wings on the MFT3 and found the documented (somewhere?) clearance problem when tightening the clamp: The knob hits the extrusion with the flat clamp plate not fully engaged not allowing you to properly tighten it....The fix,wait for it ,slot the clamp hole(see picture) about 1/4".I added a washer as well.This does not cause any problem when installing back on the Kapex, and allows full engagement on the table with some extra knob clearance as well.This still makes me wonder : did someone in engineering not think to try fitting this to the mft3 ? You know,the compatible system thing , the same V-groove ... :
. Well its a fairly easy fix if you have a die grinder or a drill press or a round file , or a milling machine.Happy slotting ...
