Has anyone investigated adding measuring tape to the extensions on the Wheeled Stand?  Is the design of the system flexible enough to add measuring tape for reference?

I have a miter center that I built for my Kapex using the Kreg Trak and Stop system.  I don't necessarily trust the measurements, but I have grown to like having them available.  My Kapex is easily removed from the stand and I would like use the new UG-Kapex Wheeled Stand for projects away from my shop.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The extensions already have graduations on them. Is that what you meant?

Tom

Like Tom said, tape measure built in complete with flip stops.  I calibrated mine the first time I used it to get it spot on but after taking the extensions off then putting back on the readings were different.  Don't presume once set up it will stay perfect.  You should always check.

Tom and Woodguy;

Thanks for the information.  I was having a "Duh" moment while researching the UG Cart on the website.  It clearly states:

"Provides stock support with integrated flip stop, measurement scale and adjustable leg. Expands from 58-1/4” (1480 mm) to 94-1/2” (2400 mm). Supplied with Metric scale".

I realized my lack of research skill when I found a copy of the 2011-2012 Festool printed tools and accessories catalog.  I guess I am an old fashion guy, and prefer my research on the printed page over the internet.

I will still accept any user opinions or suggestions on the UG-Kapex Wheeled Stand.

Greatly Appreciate my FOG Membership

Sincerely,

Ray

Just make sure you tighten on the flip stops, they slide off. I lost one and you have to buy all the separate little parts to replace it.. Also don't drop the plastic carry end pieces, they are very fragile..

John..

i dont know how i managed all the years on trestles and 6x2's deffo get one,

Anyone else finding the flip stops moving with the slightest knock from bumping the material up to it. This isn't through lack of tightening.
