Forrest,
This is great!  As you know, I'm big on contests that inspire Festool owners to do great work and share it with others.

As someone who has learned the complexities of modern on-line contests, I think the people running this UK contest are making a couple of mistakes:
1. They do not specify any rules.
2. They do not specify location limitations.  What will they do if an American or Canadian wins?
3. They do not clearly define what "made with Festool tools" means.  If I build a table and just use a Rotex to finish it, does that count?  What if a person wins after only using some Festool tools, but others lose even though they used all Festool tools for their projects?

But the point is to insipre!

If the winner happens to be a member of this forum, and if the winning photo appears in this forum, I hope that is noted somewhere in the contest.  If the winner or the winning photo are not already part of this forum, they should be!

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Matthew

Per, you and Bob could run away with first prize. I see a Kapex in your truck soon.

Thanks John,

Just a hunch, but I think we would have to put that Kapex on our lorry.

Betcha this is only open to her Majesty's subjects.

I know, nothing ventured, nothing gained....but we have till Nov.

to get all the details.

Besides there is this Bloke in Australia made a fine chair...... ;D

All good questions!

Perhaps Rule No 1 is that there are no rules  ;)

Actually, a few rules do come to light if you go through the upload process (I don't have any photos to enter, but thought I'd check out the process anyway:

We still don't know the answer to your second and third questions though.

Has anyone else entered this competition?

When I read about it, I stuck a couple of crappy photos up simply because I noticed there were 20 prizes up for grabs, and at the time there were only 6 entries. I could have stuck up a picture of my cat & still won something!

Just checked again, and there's currently 19 entries, so I'm still in with a shot. If anyone else enters, I will have to make a bit more of an effort to make & photograph something half-decent!
