UK - FREE battery from Festool and lower prices from Toolfest

Hi all
I have been around the FOG and a Festool owner for a long while now and met Warren a couple of years ago when he hosted the road show and the wonderful Phil Beckly let have a go on the HK85, wow what a machine!
I am amazed at the responses that have come Warrens way as if anyone bothered to spend a bit of time looking at the prices he is now offering would see that he is the best part of 10% cheaper than the two biggest hitters in this country N&B and FFX. I for my part will certainly taking Warren up on this deal and hope he is able to sustain it in the longer term

I took this offer and bought the T18 with the new smaller 3.1ah batteries. Service received from toolfest was simply amazing, i.e. quick delivery etc but the warranty form and battery offer form had been filed in on my behalf and i did not have to do anything, the free battery arrived a couple of weeks later directly from festool. The only part time a little annoyed is regarding the 3.1ah batteries not been able to be used in the ts55c, yes the saw is power hungry but it should still be able to power up with 2 x 3.1bats and be used to cut say 6mm mdf/ply or just a few short cuts. Festool should really make this clear, but the smaller battery size and reduced weight really makes a difference with the drills. However i think the offer is very good and with the best prices from toolfest I've just ordered a bhc 3.1ah plus and the full hkc set.

I was looking at that T18 compact set looks a real bargain at that price and you get a free 5.2ah battery :-).

Do i need another drill lol

Yes, that's what I got, the free battery makes it good value, just a little annoyed that the smaller bats won't power up a saw even tho I've got a old 3ah batt and it does. Festool should make this clear

[member=24307]msc[/member] Then you will be in the fairly unique position of being able to confidently answer a question I have not yet managed to get answer from on the forum. . . . . . Will the 18v 3.1ah Compact Batteries run the HKC saw?

I would be so grateful to finally get a confirmed answer for this!!

The 3.1ah compact does power up a hkc but Ime unable to cut anything until next week. Never tried it until now. I knew about not powering a tsc55c because I ran out of and only had my 3.ah compact on hand and would not work even with 2 fully charged

^^^ thanks msc - that ultimately tells me what I need to know - of course any extra report on how well it performs with the battery would always be appreciated. . .

Cheers!

Seems the free battery is now 5.2aH now??
Probably pull the trigger on BHC Basic now...
(Not sure if can use this promotion on more than one tool.)

It has always been a 5.2 amp battery you receive, even if you purchased the compact set with 3.1 amp batteries. What is new is the added feature of buying a body only, it used to be set versions only up until a few days ago.

Thanks Carl - shows how much attention I've been paying  [embarassed]

Have vaguely fancied the BHC basic for a some while now.  The free battery
is pushing me over the edge - despite the fact BHC doesn't have a chisel mode.

Persuaded by the free battery offer, i bought another Carvex last month.

But after the delivery company inexplicably returned my parce/battery to Germany I've been unable to get a response from festool! For over two weeks and repeat emails [sad].

Is there a better way to be contacting them than info[member=6061]festool[/member].co.uk?  [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member]

Thanks.

After 6 months of dithering, finally decided to purchase the PDC 18/4 Set version so I could get the free battery.  Also, purchased the Carvex basic from Warren at www.toolfest.co.uk as his price is the best currently available.

Closing date for purchasing and registering a battery tool in the U.K. is tomorrow 30 June 2017.

Thanks for the order [member=55408]LoftyDave[/member] , your post is a timely reminder that the offer does close tomorrow at midnight, so if anyone is still thinking of going for it and getting a free battery - now is the time.

Any orders received after midnight on 30th June will not qualify!!  [scared]

Best regards

Warren

I have now been trying to get hold of festool for a whole month! (See 3 posts back) Multiple emails & social media. Why will no one actually respond to me? What is going on? Where is the excellent customer service Festool continually claim to provide? Any customer service will do.....

Clearly it's not acceptable, and I don't know why this is, but the quickest responses seem to come from Facebook. But have you tried calling them?

Thank Gary. For some stupid reason it never occurred to me to call them. So used to email  these days i guess. I'll try that on Monday if i don't recieve any response from my latest round FB messages today.

Sadly my recent FB attempts are bordering on rude. Really not my style and i genuinely hate doing it, but im becoming insensed by the lack of response. I'm a very patient guy but I'm being tested here.

Part of my annoyance comes from the fact that when purchased my 2nd Carvex back well over two months ago it was in part because i knew the free 5.2ah battery would come in handy for the job im doing this week, outside with no power.

Anyway sh/t happens, i just want someone to answer me. 😭😁
