Festool UK publishes Festool Facts, which is a newsletter in on-line and printed formats. They have just released the May edition of the on-line version, and the Spring edition of the printed edition.

As usual, the printed edition has a selection of offers (see my post of 4 Apr for details of previous offers), and this time we have:

Buy a TS55 or TS75, complete with 1400mm guide rail, and get a second 1400mm guide rail free.
Buy a Trion jigsaw, and get a pack of 35 jigsaw blades free.
Buy a cordless drill, and get a 7-piece pack of wood drills bits (Order No 492519) free
Buy a CTL22 or CTM22 dust extractor (or higher model?), and get a cleaning kit (Order No 456736) free.
Buy any 4 abrasives, 4 jigsaw blades, 4 saw blades or 4 router bits and get the cheapest one free

These offers are valid from 1 May to 30 Jun 2008.

The printed Festool Facts also has articles about the OF2200, Kapex. MFT3, CMS, MFS700, destructive testing, plus other bits and pieces. One of these is this interesting snippet about the Plug-it lead:

-------------
In 2007 the material used for the plug has been changed from
PVC to TPE, which improves mechanical stability and minimises
wear of the connection. This gives the connector a higher thermal
resistance and increased the preload of the bayonet connector
inside the plug. In consequence the bayonet lock operation is a
little bit tighter than before.
-------------

The on-line version has some interesting links to the new kit, including:

OF2200 Brochure (16 pages)

MFT3 and accessories
MFT3 Brochure (12 pages)

TF1400 and TF2200 Router Inserts for CMS
TF1400 and TF2200 Brochure (8 pages)

There's quite a lot of bedtime reading there  :D

However... there will be a special edition of the SysNotes email newsletter going out in the next day or two which features several new items which are not even in the catalog and at least one is a U.S. exclusive.  Ah, yes, more shiny new green goodies.  Stay tuned.

I guess I better sign up for the newsletter!
