Festool UK publishes Festool Facts, which is a newsletter in on-line and printed formats. They have just released the May edition of the on-line version, and the Spring edition of the printed edition.
As usual, the printed edition has a selection of offers (see my post of 4 Apr for details of previous offers), and this time we have:

In 2007 the material used for the plug has been changed from
PVC to TPE, which improves mechanical stability and minimises
wear of the connection. This gives the connector a higher thermal
resistance and increased the preload of the bayonet connector
inside the plug. In consequence the bayonet lock operation is a
little bit tighter than before.
