Good Afternoon

Spotted these on the tanos.de site today and though I'd share. The MINI T-Loc I think is available to order now (although we don't have in stock yet) and the new MIDI T-Loc it says is due January 2013.

Best regards

Warren

That Midi looks awesome! Perfect for all those things that don't *quite* fit in a standard systainer!

Any idea on pricing?

Hi Jonny

I know, the MIDI looks like another stroke of genius for storage, no doubt works perfectly with the new SYS-ROLL too. No pricing yet, I'll keep you posted.

Regards

That will be most of the curent festool range of tools, I just bought a c12 in a t-loc 1 and there is not even enough room for the plug

Man, I've got to get a few of those but I'll have to wait for the Festool version so I match.... [tongue]

Brice.  You are right can't wait for the Festool Version either, but with our luck here it will become a NANIA version  [big grin]

Glad to see this announcement.  Now I don't have to keep a secret anymore.  Waiting for another announcement but that will be a while....

That makes me think the midi systainer is not just for Tanos, but that festool plans to use it also. Since i guess tanos doesn't share their secrets with you guys!
Is this other secret somehow related to the MIDI systainer? Something revolutionary that required a bigger systainer?

Personally i always thought the regular systainers were on the small side compared to other brand tool boxes. But then they did always intelligently managed to get everything in there. Just look at how they got the XL domino in there. Or how they get their drills in a SYS1 while other brands need boxes 3 times the size.
So for the moment being i don't really see an advantage in this, it literally sticks out of the system.

im with tim on this.
a bigger systainer is great but doesnt fit into the system nicely.

im more interested in why they need a larger sys

Stuff will take up less room in these. Look at the ts 75 a big section of the systainer in packing to tilt it up to fit but in these it would sit flat

Tim,

Actually I am in contact with the Americas Tanos Sales Manager from time to time.  I admit that I had no knowledge of the MIDI just the MINI.  Usually I do not get advance information from Festool due to the fact that I am not an employee and confidentiality is very important to them.  I totally understand and respect that.

I am always on the look out for a new project.

The MIDI is an Interesting product, but how does it fit into the existing "SYSTEM"?

It appears to be wider (longer in the long dimension) but still latch  to the regular size Systainers.  In effect solving the problem that the Maxi Sys has with integrating ( in a useful way) with the 'system'.
