TOOLFEST.CO.UK Newsletter from yesterday - thought it may be of some interest.

04.04.2011

Good Morning

Just a couple of things to let you know about;

SYSTEMCONTAINER.CO.UK - We have this morning made live our new T-Loc Systainer micro site. Being a huge fan of Systainers from the very first time I saw them, the idea of offering UK customers as many colours and sizes as possible has been a long held ambition. So we now have stock of seven different colours available to order for next working day delivery as long as you order by 4pm. Also we have a 'Configurator' page where you can design your own T-Loc! Pick the size, then then the colour and then choose your colour of catch and handle. Its really fun to play about with colour combinations! Also available are foams for lids and bases and inserts for mini-grinders and drills plus lots more.  www.systemcontainer.co.uk

FESTOOL MORNING - Only a few days to go now and there are some great new products to show off this Saturday, we're really looking forward it. Tea and coffee available throughout the morning (plus you get to keep your FESTOOL mug) and frankfurter hotdogs at the interval. There are still places available so call us now on 01483 727227 to book your place!

MORE PROTOOL DEMO MACHINES - We now have the DSC-AGP 125 dust-free cutting system in our demonstration fleet which adds to our PDC 18-4 combi drill driver, SSP 200 Swordsaw, ISP 330 Insulation Saw, CSP 85/45 circular saw and DWC 12 & 18 cordless collated screwdrivers. Of course we have the PROTOOL CMP 150 chain mortiser, CCP 380 carpentry chainsaw, PLP 350 E beam planer, SBP Portable Band Saw for all the customers involved with large timbers! Demonstrations by appointment at our Depot in Woking, or we can come to you, as long as you are within 100 miles of Woking. Call us to arrange a demonstration.

That's it for the time being, hope to see you on Saturday.

Best regards

Warren

i would like to tell you that you are alowed to ship fetool from one eu state to the other including ireland. you lost my custom as you droped the ball on that one . i had my order in and you refused to honour it.

Hello Alan

I'm really sorry we couldn't help you with your order, our company policy changed and we are no longer shipping FESTOOL product outside the UK. We do state that on our website clearly in our terms and conditions, but I never read terms & conditions so to be fair I suspect you didn't check it either. I hope you managed to get your order fulfilled locally as although we do alot of trade online we also like customers to support their local dealer - it encourages stockists to keep more on the shelf.

Again, many apologies for turning down your order, even if its put you off us, I hope it hasn't put you off FESTOOL!

Best regards

Good to see a UK dealer on here.  I hope you will be sticking around to answer questions ect as the US is very well supported with dealers & embarrassingly we have nobody.

Welcome, Woodguy.

yes i got sorted. no bad experience from a dealer would turn me off good tools.
i agree with wood guy that wein the eu are very underepresented on the fog by dealers. i hope you stick it out on the fog .
it would be good to have updates on products being released in the uk as in the us they anounce the release a tool months before they do it and talk people whrough the tool. over here we just get it when ever they release it and no talking about it before hand. if for nothing else it would be great to tease the north americans with more tools not yet released in the us

neat, like the idea.

May come for another "morning" although a bit of a trek from Hertfordshire. (as our local Festool dealer has moved away...)

Hello Woodguy - I'll be around to help if I can and give input from a dealers point of view, strange no other dealers get involved?

Alan - I'll give updates when I can but I don't like spoiling FESTOOL surprises, my tip is to get to know your local dealer and their FESTOOL TSM (Territory Sales Manager). They will know all the latest and may have seen prototypes as we have in the past. As for teasing North Americans, I couldn't possibly comment  ;)

John G - Come down if you can, it would be great to see you and I hope you agree our 'Mornings' are worth a visit?

Regards

Good Morning

For the rest of April I'm offering the Carmine Red T-Loc Systainers at the same price as the standard FESTOOL ones. Available in SYS I, SYS II and SYS III, maybe its time to re-box those Hilti and Milwaukee machines into new Systainers?

Warren,

I've been meaning to ask - is there a reason why the Tanos ones are significantly more expensive than the Festool ones?

John..

I can give your internal dimensions 2 moro on a systainer 1 but not a T-loc 1 though only got T-lock 3 and 4s.
I am assuming you mean T-loc with system.

Im sure der are internal dimensions some where on the internet no?

To be honest though a t-loc 1 is very small! T-loc 2 would be best defiantly big enough

Good afternoon.

Woodguy7 - I have some coloured catches for Classic Systainers, specifically yellow and blue which are listed in one of our eBay shops;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TANOS-SYSTAINER-0100004-Catch-daffodil-yellow-RAL-1007-/250777918682?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item3a63875cda

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TANOS-SYSTAINER-0100013-Catch-sky-blue-RAL-5015-/260741854495?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item3cb56cf51f

I can easily order other colours although the lead time from TANOS can be a couple of weeks, if you message me with your requirements I'll look into it for you.

Jonny - The cost difference is simple, we get charged more by FESTOOL for the coloured systainers, the list price is higher and the discount is smaller, which is disappointing but I thought it worthwhile putting them into stock even at a premium price. However I will do special offers through the website each month to make it more attractive to purchase them. You never know Festoolfootstool might buy one  [laughing].

Best regards
