Hi guys and girls.

I'm hoping someone here may be able to help me. As I can't find certain parts through festool's UK site & databases easily, I'm trying to solve a problem and at the same time  create a solution for my workshop environment where my CTL48 is the primary extractor to all my festool gear.

as per normal, any plug-it cables on my equipment are 3.5m standard, however what I'm looking to do is either a plug-it extender cable using male and female  connectors to a plug-it connector on a standard  plug-it cord, or build 2 hoses on a "Y" joint hose coupler with blast gates to control flow. these can then run either direction of the workshop either bench or machine shop side.

Please can anyone tell me if either such a cable exists or could be made with the use of male and female plug-it connectors? I would very much appreciate any advice given.

cheers and thanks for a great forum.

Hi Lew

I am not aware of any Festool or third party plug-it extension cables. I have put longer cables on some of my Festool kit. I think that you can buy plug-it kits (the connector on the end) from Toolfest in Woking. They have the biggest Festool stock availability of any supplier that I know and the chap that runs it, Warren, is really helpful.

Try http://www.toolfest.co.uk/

Welcome to the FOG - and I do not agree about there being too many choirs in Wales - they are amongst the very best singers in the world.

You can use a standard plug-it cord, cut the 13A mains plug off, and replace it with a plug-it pigtail. Join the two together with a suitable connector block in a small enclosure, or for a more 'professional' look, solder them & cover with heatshrink tubing.

Job done. [big grin]
