Good Morning

I think this special edition of the ROTEX 150 needs a little more publicity, for just a little more money you get abrasives, extra sanding pad, a hand sanding pad and a SYS Combi to keep it all in.

I've even made a 'no expense spent' video to show you what's in the box and if you really like it order here:

Best regards

You're REALLY going to need to do a bit of work on your awesomeness [wink] [big grin]

I'd like to see more in store configuration options for retailers .. making the labels on the systainers less permanent and having some set discounting of Systainer + insert + tool + accessories pricing would make things a lot more interesting. I think Festool (and therefore their retailers) are missing out on a lot of up-sell opportunities

Imagine a variant of this with 3000g and polishing pads for auto detailers, etc - this shouldn't be limited, it should be part of a wider range of permanent plus options.

Mass customisation, it's a great thing. We do a little on our systemcontainer.co.uk website, pick your systainer size, then colour, then handle colour, then catch colour. It works well and is fun to use. There is more scope to go further too.

This could be used more with machines like the Rotex as you say, especially with online retailers. I think it is just difficult to get retailers to stock enough product to offer the range at the moment, with the lowest return on investment for many years, I regrettably hear too many stories of dealers removing Festool from their stores.  [sad]

Oh I deffo hear you. It's just some of the seriously multi use tools lend themselves massively to configurable sales. Done eloquently, all you'd need is a flexible range of Systainers and accessories and the Festool pricing model "SHOULD" take care of you as a retailer - I realise it's nothing like that for anyone today.

Pre-packaged "kitting" options can also work, but the limited function of many point of sale and invoicing platforms either lead to problems or result in massively complex product ranges if they don't support the "kit" paradigm.

In mixed landscapes, manufacturers and wholesales can offer sales configurators apps (think selling tools on an iPad or similar) that not only give you the customer beneficial sales combo, they give you your recoup tokens to offset you discounting, without having to re-engineer your retail systems (obviously more complex for web shops, but advanced web sales platforms cover combos and kitting rules pretty well).

CRAP .. it's Friday night in Oz and I'm still in consultant mode .. sorry [embarassed]

Snap out of it [member=13058]Kev[/member], cold beer or glass of red, and change modes. It'll be Monday before you know it.  :)

I really like the insert in the drawer.  Will that be something that we will be able to get off ekat?

There is the number 708870 marked on it, but can't find it on the ekat?

We need like buttons on here that go directly to festool. I am in the market for an RO150 and this setup would be really nice to have! Need it stateside asap!

Hi there

That is an awesome setup, I too would love it if the Rotex came with that setup option. Yes it would cost more, but it's more ready to go out of the box.

Imaginary like button pressed.
