I own a TS55 and have not tested the TS55R yet, so I can't comment as yet but I know what you mean, I feel they have been very cautious.  Once tested I will give more feedback.

I got to look at one on Saturday its ok but nothing amazing I would only get one if my ts55 was knackered. Dust collection is probably slightly better .

Two (!) TS55R arrived today, one for me one for brother. Will be in action on Thursday on kitchen job. Looks greats; extra guide rails, clamps and bags (two of everything). Plus three extra saw blades. 

OUTSTANDING service (and packaging) from SLINGERS and in particular thanks to 'Super' Steve.  So I'm a lot happier but a lot (not too much really) poorer.

Loving the softer grip handle and dual scale already.  Maybe not a lot has changed, but to be honest there wasn't a lot wrong in my opinion.
