This may not be the right forum for this, please move it if it does not fit.
Tomorrow is my daughter's 12th birthday, big occasion for both of us because we started the formal adoption process on Friday, and we are flipping through different catalogues to get an idea of what hobby gift she would like. My family has a tradition of three gifts: one you need, one you want, and one someone wants you to experience. I was using this to help me narrow down from hand tool work, wood burning, carving, turning, or or some other area of interest. We are discussing building a tree house, working on a doll house, and also talking about having a weekend party around the fire pit.
I am flipping back and forth in the Lee Valley catalogue trying to decide between the Henry Taylor or Hirsch carving set. When she screams I want a Domizilla. I had to have her repeat it a few times as I had no idea what that was. Then it hit me, we had spent the previous night looking at Festool.tv and also Paul's video review of the Domino XL. She says it will help to make the tree house stronger. Oh, and she wants a Gransfors axe to make firewood for the pit party.
I am not sure if I should be worried or extremely proud my baby wants a Festool.
Either way I have told my wife that our daughter wants a Kapex, CT vacuum, Domino, and a MFT/3. [tongue]
