If you mean the one recently announced, they have just been shipping in Not-North America.  They aren't on sale yet in the US, so if you buy one, it will be "old stock"

Mine is the latest, and it’s a KS 120 REB, the old model was KS 120 EB

So I think for those of us in North America what we would like to hear from those in the uk is there anybody who has used the new ks 120 reb 120 volt saw and give us a direct comparison to the older version. Same power ? More? Etc....

Mine is mainly workshop use, and although I buy mainly 110 volt, I went for the 240 volt Kapex this time.
We have a couple of companies we often help out when they have a big workload, and vice versa.
One of these companies bought two KS 120 REB’s a while back and Im almost certain both are 110 volt. I’ll find out how they’ve been getting along with them.

Wait until the new model is released later in the year. Easy to tell as the auxiliary angle finder has been moved from the LH side of the saw to the rear. New part number also.

Hi glass1, I spoke to my friend/colleague yesterday afternoon and the new Kapex were mentioned.
They did as I thought, buy two KS 120’s both in 110 volt. They were bought very soon after release and have already seen a lot of heavy use from trim cutting, to 8” x 2” and 10” x 2” joists and trusses, and have been fine.
He did say that he thought the motors seemed slower than the old models at relevant speed settings but, it could be the tone of the motor maybe he said? His staff haven’t mentioned it? He didn’t know about the weight difference and hadn’t noticed.
He has two older model 110 volt saws that although have never failed, in his words “have seen better days” This wasn’t a surprise as although these people look after their tools, they do use them in all capacity.
He says they do need another mitre saw too, and it will almost certainly be another 120 in 110 volt.

We talked briefly about the failures, although he hadn’t had any, he knew of owners that had. We agreed that with the new models, it’s way too early to tell if the issues has now been resolved? And hope that the rumours of updated/upgraded parts are true.
