I've heard from a few folks who report "upgrading" to LR32 rails when buying new TS55's and other similar "swaps" and exchanges,  and would like to know if this is normal practice of Festool Dealers?

I need to order a new TS55, but need a 3000mm guide rail instead of another 1400mm rail.

The first dealer I checked with required authorization from the manager to do that, but the salesman didn't think it would be a problem. (The manager wasn't there.)

The dealer I purchased from had no problem doing a swap for the difference in price.

I know there are dealers right here on the FOG that will swap out one rail for another and you need to do is pay the difference in price.

Stairman, we do it on a daily basis, and really it is something that can be done with most all accessories.  As of late, we've been converting some OF 2200 accessory kits from metric to imperial for a lot of your fellow FOG'ers.

I thought Festool offered the kit in both Metric and Imperial as a standard -- is there anything different you include in the conversion?  Just curious and not to hijak the thread.

Imperial kit not yet available in T-Loc (still classics left in warehouse).

Is there any way to get a package deal with the OF1400 and a LR32 guide rail?  I already own a CT36 and was wanting the hole drilling setup with the router.  I know the track saws can be packaged with the rail and was hoping the router could.

Bhender, thaaaat's stretching it.  Can't whip up something like that.  Unless there is a factory sponsored package / discount and there are like components that are just of various sizes / dimensions.  Otherwise not really a possibility.
