Buying a CT26e for $20. Guy said the motor doesn't work, which I know I can replace easily (hopefully it's a simple fix), but if it's the electronics board is there a place online to get one? Seems like its discontinued. Or should I take it to a service center?

There are no "service centers" as such in the US; you need to ship it to Indiana for service.

That's a superdeal. You can order a new motor or a new board from the spare parts catalogue and install it yourself. The CT's are very easy to dismantle, and put together again.
There is nothing discontinued about the CT 26, will be there for many more years. Only with Corona now, everything Festool, including parts, are more difficult to get.

Got the new motor in from MMToolParts.com - motor was cracked and top was bent up by UPS. Trying to see what to do now. I couldn't get it to work yesterday, but also need to get a new wire to go from the board to the motor. Looks like the old one shorted, among other things (my brother's motor shop tested it for me).
Anyone know where I can find the schematic like in this thread? (T-Nr: 495-847). I saw on the Festool parts schematic where there is a solenoid, but I cant find where one goes.

Before you call it quits on the old motor, be sure to order a pair of spare brushes from Festool while you get the new electronics from them.
Many people think the motor is dead while it just needs new brushes as the Festool brushes are protected so they "look" OK even when they are done. The CT26 motors are rated for 3 sets of brushes, but can live through 4 at times even.
Someone selling a CT26 for $20 is unlikely to know that as it is way cheap, even with a dead motor and /possibly/ dead electronics.

My brother does electric motor repair and had his guys check it. There was a whole lot wrong with it, not just worn brushes. But a $120 motor is still worth it. Sadly, the first one was damaged by the shipper. MMTools out of Salt Lake City has already sent another.
