Used Kapex

So I bought a used Kapex from a private party that needs repair but not knowing where it came from Im worried about Festool finding out something that I don't know about the tools origins. Its in pretty rough shape so I doubt its stolen... Is there a way I can check the status of tool with the serial number?

I've done similar before. Just reach out to Festool Customer Service and they should be able to help you with the S number.
