Using a CT26 Extractor for a Vacuum Table

Hi,

Hoping to get concrete answer before I move forward with a new project. My question; will using a Festool Dust extractor in an application which provides little airflow through the vac hose cause any long term issues with the unit? Specific application being the suction component for a small vacuum table. Primary concern is the cooling for the CT26 if little airflow is provided but also on any additional stresses this may have on the unit. Search results I've seen have contradicting statements but also that people have used them without issue for this purpose. Any information you can provide is appreciated.

Long: no, the motor cooling is independent, you will be fine as long as it is not obstructed

All that said, it is a complete waste to misuse a CT26 as low-vacuum source. 2/3 the cost of these vacs is about consistent air filtration quality which is completely wasted here. Any medium-range Nilfisk unit will make lots more sense.

Or the CT 15, if it has to be Festool.

Thanks for the info. I should have explained I am not buying the extractor for this sole purpose. I have a Fein I use for dedicated dust collection on the CNC and have a CT36 for my Kapex, sanders etc. Instead of adding a third extractor I wanted to use the Festool to experiment while I build a vacuum table. Once I get things dialed in I will most likely invest in a dedicated vacuum pump.
