Using a domino 45mm from the edge?

I intended to put a row of slots 45mm from an edge, just to find the fence will only go to 30mm.  (duh...)

I know I can put the base up to a line or to a reference board stuck on with double sided tape, but either of those is kludgy. 
Any clever way to do this?

If I understand your question, you could create a simple adapter plate like this and consitently set a line of dominos any distance you need from an edge.  Alternative is to align a straight edge and use that against the domino tool bottom plate.

Do you have a rail?  You could use that to align the Domino down the line
