I just posted part two of building a set of garage cabinets for a client. The first video demonstrated cutting the parts with FT's track saw and parallel guides. This video demonstrates the process of boring system holes with the Blum press and pocket holes with the Kreg Foreman. Then a quick look at assembly and the final install. Enjoy.

thanks ron enjoyed.... [popcorn] [thanks]

it was neet to see the blum tool in action and how quick it is.... will have to get one soon. save up time.

one thing that I use for alignment is the 2 dominoes on each connecting end then pocket screw or face screw it together... because I have found that when you pocket screw or just face screw that it moves a tad out of alignment...

but darn you work fast !!!!  oh by the way nice work sandals

Thanks for showing the minipress.  I found that AHTurf carries the Minipress line.  The 110v non-pneumatic M is $1725 and the work table is an extra $65.  The 9 spindle line boring head is an option for $975.  The bits aren't bad, $8.50.  It's a sweet machine, extreme quality, portability, flexibility,  but it's steep.

It is not cheap. I purchased the 7 spindle head on CL for $250. It is hard to find the 110v machines used. I got mine for new for $800, but I think I got a really good deal for purchasing large amounts of cabinet hardware. If you have 220 power, there are some really good deals on CL I got one of my 220v machines on CL for $300. Also, check auctions as many cabinets shops have gone under.

The FT LR32 is also a great option. You will not get the high production like the blum, but that only matters if you are doing lots of cabinet jobs.

After running test with my router jigs and crunching numbers it doesn't look like any kind of line boring machine at retail price is cost effective for me.  I can bore holes for no more than 1 cent per hole not including setup.  That comes to 360,000 holes or about 10,000 cases for the price of a $2000 line boring machine.

I just bought a used 110v minipress for $150.00. It did not come with any bits or the table. I do need to find a line boring head for it and some bits for boring doors. I just bought the LR32 set so I guess I will be putting it in the classified section.

Wow! that is a great price on the 110 Blum. The old head is 7 spindle and the newer one is 9. I believe the 9 can also be mounted for cross boring, but not sure about that. You can find the 7 spindle for $250 or less on CL. The table is easy to make yourself and the manual even tells you how.

Enjoy,

Not sure about the music. It is from the stock library in one of my video editing programs. The title is "Investigation" but no other info.
