Using OF1010 Router with the MFS?

Is the OF1010 router suitable for working with the MFS, for instance to build stair stringers?
Or would I need a router with a larger maximum cutting depth?

The 1010 should be able to handle the job.  But something like stair stringers where you are removing a lot of material a larger more powerful router would make the job go faster and have the ability to use 1/2" shank router bits.  You might need to make two passes with the 1010 to reach the final depth but that should not be a big deal.

I concur.  An OF 1400 would be better, but I often find that even a 36mm hose quickly clogs when trying to cut full depth of about 3/4 to 1 inch, e.g. when molding an edge.  MFS is a nice tool.  Used mine today to inset some magnetic door latches flush with the bottom panel of a cabinet, about 5/8 inch deep.  Note that you will need an extra long shank /cutting edge on your router bit due to the ~5/8 inch thickness of the MFS; the bit has to extend through the MFS to reach the workpiece.
