I have a D36 hose and am looking to connect it to my new Kapex. The connector I have inserts into the Kapex swival connector. I want one that connects on the outside of the connector, will this Festool 500670 Hose Sleeve, Reducing Sleeve For Antistatic D 36 Hose work?

Thanks
Jack

Ordinarily a D36 hose connector should already fit over the outside of the Kapex port.

If your hose doesn't have the 500670 Hose Sleeve then it isn't a D36 hose, and adding that sleeve won't make it one.

If your hose fits inside the Kapex swivel connector, then it is a smaller hose like the 27 or 32 or whatever they call them these days.

Would help to share a picture.

My D36 hose is actually a Bosch 35mm hose that I replaced the end on so it would work with my Bosch axial gluide saw. I sold the Bosch saw and bought the Kapex (2018 model from Hartville Tools). I will get a pic later today. It looks like the accepts a locking end hose connector though not sure.

Thanks
Jack

If  the festool 500670 connector fits the Bosch hose then , yes, that will do what you want. The Festool connector attaches directly to a hose it is not an adapter.

Aha, if you say D36 hose without further elaborating, we naturally assume you mean a Festool hose. But if your hose is of another brand, than at least I can't help you because I don't if the connector fits or not. Take your hose to a dealer and try it out there.

Thanks Seth!

Sorry guys, I intended to state I had a 35mm Bosch hose but it got translated involuntarily between my brain and my typing ;-) The Bosch 35mm hose is much less expensive than the Festool and the D36 fittings fit just fine.
