Vac sys with two foot valves

I purchased a second foot valve for my dual setup, so I could operate each independently. I learned after the purchase that festool only acknowledges a single clamp with one foot valve or dual clamps with one foot valve.  I find this odd, since they offer a single foot valve with a piece of hose attached. It seems the single purchase is supposed to be a replacement part.

I ignored all of this and reconfigured the stock hoses so one foot valve operates one clamp and they are independent of each other.  It would be a simple matter to configure a setup that could be switched between independent and dual operation by one valve.  Festool does not sell fittings or hose to support other configurations.  I wrote support and they simply replied that there are only two configurations like I previously described.

Has anyone successfully done the configuration I have described? Where did you purchase the fittings?

I have not thought about having independent foot pedals.
Veneer Supplies sells fittings & hose. The quick connectors I purchased from them worked with the Festool connectors.

Regarding two foot pedals, I find it to be quite handy.  With one pedal, I found it to be very inconvenient when I was doing two jobs on the two clamps and only wanted to release one clamp.  I don't know why festool does not support this.
