I have just loaded the Vacuum Clamping Systems and components from Schmalz on my website and they are ready for purchase. In the beginning, there will be some delays in the delivery process until I can figure out what to get from Germany and in what quantities.
Schmalz is a German company that is well established as a provider of vacuum material handling equipment and vacuum tables for CNC machines. They have a relatively new line of products to clamp work for a woodworker or someone that wants to work with flexible, easy-to-use clamping solutions.
There are two kinds, one that uses compressed air to create the vacuum in the Suction Plate itself and another system that uses a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump can be purchased from them or it will work with any vacuum source that can generate 850 mbar of vacuum.
My choice for a vacuum pump with maximum flexibility would be a 6 CFM pump. With it, you can use 3 of the VC-M-SPV 160x160 Suction Plates in tandem to hold larger work pieces.
As usual, the number below rings my desk and mobile so I'm generally easy to talk to.
As an aside, I'm happy to package this in Systainer(s).
